Aprox. 45% of the overall volume is invested by Saudi-Arabia (19 billion US$). Approx 20 percent of the state budget are earmarked for the health sector. Spending has almost tripled in the past ten years. In the ninth five-year plan (2010-2014) of the Saudi-Arabian government approx. 50 billion Euros are earmarked for the health sector.
